A fine collection of rare Luftwaffe Staffelabzeichen.

Luftwaffe aircraft commonly carried a squadron emblem on

the fuselage and these were often also produced as a small

emblem which could be worn on the tunic lapel.

Unit pin (Staffelabzeichen) for 7./KG 1

An eagle carrying a bomb over a railway line, all on a shield. Frequently

combined with a white diamond on the fin. Used 1939-1945.

Featured on the He 111 and Ju88A

Unit emblem (Staffelabzeichen) for fighter squadron III./ JG27.

Price 850€

Another version of the "Jesau Cross", with a yellow outline to the white shield and three

yellow aircraft pointing downwards. The oldest day fighter unit in the Luftwaffe, the unit

was formed as I./ JG 131 at Jesau in 1937 when it adopted this badge.

A black shield with silver border bearing an image of the Infantry Assault Badge in silver.

The reverse bears the stamp "SCHLACHT GESCHWADER 1"

This unit used the Ju87, Fw190 and Henschel Hs129.

A diamond shaped field with a black diving Bf 110 with red shark's mouth against

a white cloud. Makers mark on the reverse is for Lauer of Nürnberg, a well known

maker of badges and insignia.

A superb and rare silver framed presentation photograph.

The photograph is of WW1 fighter ace Oswald Boelcke, contained in a real silver (hallmarked)

frame, engraved on the lower obverse "Dem scheidenden Kameraden Hptm. Frhr. von Nordeck

zu Nordeck 13.3.36 -10.11.39 Offz.Korps. III/ K.G. Boelcke Nr 27".

The piece was obviously presented to the departing Hauptmann after a period of service with

the Geschwader as a leaving gift. This officer was a holder of the Spanish Cross in Gold with Swords

later served as Gruppenkommandeur of III/K.G.77. He survived the war and is believed to have died in 2004
