A fine original pair of Luftwaffe officers dress gloves.

Made from soft grey suede, and fasten by snap fastener at the

wrist. Also popular with fighter pilots.

A rare original pair of Luftwaffe electrically heated gloves.

Gauntlet style gloves, made from soft grey suede, the hand lined with short pile

fleece and the gauntlet with cream coloured leather. Snap connectors attached to the leather tabs

on each jacket sleeve to provide electrical current. Although very soft, the gloves were quite

bulky and not popular with pilots or navigators who needed to handle controls and instruments

while flying.The gloves were compatible with the electrically heated liner as well as the various

wired jackets, Ink stamped inside. The pair has an LBA acceptance mark with a year.

with silver woven piping to the side flap. Artificial silk lining and with a nice

bullion eagle. On the lining is a label showing the original owners name.

the original bullion cap eagle on white backing. A makers mark is present on

the celluloid sweat diamond but difficult to read.

A near mint original Luftwaffe pair of trousers.

In blue grey cloth with slash side pockets and one hip pocket with button-down

flap, button fastening fly and belt loops

A lovely original early Luftwaffe four pocket tunic with the rank of Feldwebel of flying troops.

The tunic has the correct Luftwaffe pattern NCO braid to the collar and shoulder straps. The shoulder straps

are piped in yellow gold wool with a single rank pip and the collar has yellow gold twisted cord trim.

The breast eagle is a superb early droop tail example in hand embroidered cord.

The collar tabs are yellow wool with three "gulls" on each, There are signs of movement of these gulls almost certainly due to them being moved when the NCO was promoted. The bar of braid across the base of the
shoulder strap sewn with different thread indicates the strap has also been upgraded so this tunic would have been worn by the individual as a junior nco and upgraded when he was promoted from Unteroffizier to Feldwebel.

The left sleeve bears a superb hand emboidered heavy cord example of the Jagdgeschwader Schlageter (JG26) cufftitle, a style often seen on private purchase NCO cufftitles. JG26 fought predominantly on the Western Front and flew mainly the Bf109.

Above the left breast pocket are loops for the wear of a ribbon bar of Flight Clasp and further award loops

on the left breast pocket.

An excellent example, obviously worn by a combat veteran.

A lovely original Luftwaffe officers side cap, cut from fine blue grey officer quality

material with aluminium thread braid to the flap. Lined in grey silk with the owners initials

"FN" embroidered in red thread. The eagle and swsatika is in hand embroidered bullion

thread with a woven cockade.

and with enlisted style machine embroidered insignia. Lined in grey artificial silk with the

size 57 stamped in black ink. Officer grade piping to the side flap.

Luftwaffe Diamonds Winner Fliegerbluse Diamon

Originally in the collection of the Deutsche Luftwaffenmuseum in Uetersen. The Museum had a vast collection of Third Reich period Luftwaffe insignia, uniforms, decorations etc. In 1995 the museum was relocated to Gatow in Berlin and focussed its attention on the postwar development of the German airforce, including the East German airforce after reunification. It appears that a decision was made to dispose of much of the Third Reich period material as there was little or no interest, perhaps for political reasons, in displaying such material. Many pieces, including a vast number of collar tabs, shoulder straps and other material appeared on the market.

Three tunics, one four pocket and two fliegerbluse were acquired by a well known German collector/dealer. He took the precaution of approaching the museum to ascertain that these were indeed Lent pieces and formerly in the Museum collection. This was confirmed, with the information that they had been donated directly from the Lent family.

The four-pocket tunic was sold some time back and the following Fliegerbluse is now for sale.

This is a well used piece with genuine age wear and was obviously a favoured garment. It still bears the original collar tabs and shoulder straps of his rank. On the breast is a clear impression of the area where the missing breast eagle was sewn. On the left sleeve is a similar mark showing where a Narvik shield was removed. (Both would be simple enough to replace).

On the left breast is a bullion version of the Luftwaffe Pilot Badge, showing some wear but still in quite good condition. Just above the pilot badge are loops for an Iron Cross First Class. Period photos indeed show that these were typically the only awards worn by Lent on his Fliegerbluse. In the wartime photograph shown here the distinctive gap at the base of the wreath of the pilot badge can been seen.

Items attributed to Diamonds winners rarely ever become available and this piece just oozes character
