----------------------A super-rare Luftwaffe Anti-Partisan Badge grouping.
Photos of the any Anti-Partisan Badge actually being worn are rare and
desirable, but photos of the badge worn by a Luftwaffe officer are virtually
unknown. Here we have a shot of a Luftwaffe officer wearing the Anti-Partisan
Badge in Silver being admired by some of his comrades. The badge could
be won by Luftwaffe pesonnel flying missions in support of anti-partisan
operations. In this case a reconnaisance pilot, no doubt responsible for
successfully
tracking partisan groups from the air.
The group contains
Anti-Partisan Badge in Silver. Typical Juncker piece. Some cracking
across each side of the wreath which is a well known feature on many
original examples.

Original period photograph of the badge in wear. The back is
annotated but has been removed from an album where it appears
to have been glued so most of the writing is unclear. Photo was
taken in Nov. 1944 at the Luftwaffe base in Piestany in Slovakia, a base which was used
for anti-partisan operations. As well as the badge recipient the senior officers
present appear to be Oberst Jensen and Oberstleutnant Otto Könnecke, a former
WW1
fighter ace.
Once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain such a rare Anti-Partisan grouping.
